Robinson and Hindscarth, Lake District
A group of Scouts encountered multiple medical emergencies on the path between Robinson and Hindscarth on 10 July 2023, with one member hypothermic, one suffering an asthma attack, and one with a knee injury. Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by the Coastguard helicopter and Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team, provided treatment and evacuated the casualties by air to Gatesgarth Farm, where an ambulance transported the asthma sufferer to hospital. The same evening, Keswick Mountain Rescue also attended a 17-year-old from a Duke of Edinburgh group who had slipped and hit his head above Rosthwaite and was transferred to hospital for assessment.
Outcome: all casualties evacuated and transported to hospital for treatment
