A hillwalker fell approximately 300 feet to his death on Ben Nevis while attempting the Carn Mor Dearg Arête route in treacherous icy conditions. He slipped on a clear ice glaze and fell in front of a companion, who raised the alarm. His body was recovered after a two-day search operation by Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
