The Whangie and Campsie Glen, near Glasgow

A walker was bitten by a suspected adder at the Whangie near Glasgow and was transported to hospital feeling unwell. The same day, a second incident saw a walker fall in nearby Campsie Glen and also hospitalised. Both incidents prompted significant multi-agency emergency response.
