Dovestone Reservoir
A walker suffered a suspected broken leg on the main path at Dovestone Reservoir on 19 June. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team reached the casualty by 4×4 Land Rover, provided first aid including pain relief and leg immobilisation, and assisted North West Ambulance Service in carrying the walker approximately 400 metres to the waiting ambulance. The operation took around one hour and 45 minutes.
Outcome: casualty immobilised and evacuated to ambulance
