Rest Dodd, Martindale and Striding Edge, Helvellyn
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to two separate incidents involving walkers requiring air ambulance assistance. The first involved a man in his 20s with a suspected broken ankle on Rest Dodd, airlifted to hospital within two hours. The second, two days prior, involved a man with chest pains on Striding Edge, Helvellyn, who was stabilised on the summit and lowered 200 metres before helicopter evacuation to hospital.
Outcome: both casualties airlifted to hospital
