A mountain biker suffered a significant upper arm injury and potentially more serious injuries in a crash on Innerleithen's biking trails on Tuesday, 19 April. The casualty was airlifted by helicopter to hospital with assistance from seven Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team volunteers, arriving at hospital approximately 10 minutes after the aircraft departed the incident site.
