Grasmoor

A 56-year-old walker from Cheshire fell approximately 300 feet from Grasmoor in the Lake District and was seriously injured. Thirty-one members of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team attended the incident, securing the casualty before he was airlifted by RAF Sea King helicopter to Furness General Hospital. The casualty's two companions, who were cragfast on the fell, were led to safety by team members.
