Warnscale Bothy, Buttermere Valley
A walker fell on the approach to Warnscale Bothy and sustained a broken lower leg. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team located the casualty, provided first aid, and stretchered them to Honister Mine car park where an ambulance was waiting for transport to hospital.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher to awaiting ambulance
