Steall Gorge, Glen Nevis, near Fort William

A 12-year-old girl fell down Steall Gorge near Fort William on Friday evening and sustained suspected wrist and femur fractures. Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team used a rope system to extricate her from the steep ground and she was transported to hospital, initially to Belford Hospital in Fort William and then transferred to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.

Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher and transported to hospital
