A man in his 20s died while open water swimming at Falling Rocks in Ullswater on Friday morning. He got into difficulty and did not resurface; his friends called emergency services. His body was recovered by police divers after a three-and-a-half hour search involving mountain rescue, coastguard, fire service and air ambulance.
