Lorton Gully, Grasmoor
A woman fell three metres at Lorton Gully on the west side of Grasmoor and sustained injuries to her elbow, hip and back. Mountain rescue teams from Cockermouth and Keswick attended, packaged her in a vacuum mattress, and she was winched to safety by Coastguard helicopter before being transported to hospital.
Outcome: evacuated by helicopter to hospital
