Bessyboot, Rosthwaite Fell, Borrowdale
A young orienteer suffered an ankle injury on Bessyboot during an event in Borrowdale. Penrith MRT was called to assist with evacuation, but Rescue 897 airlifted the casualty before the team arrived. Team members diverted to receive and transport the casualty to Keswick base.
Outcome: casualty airlifted by helicopter and transported to Keswick base
