A horse rider suffered a serious fall at Halvana Woods on Bodmin Moor on 4 January 2025, sustaining head, face and back injuries and losing consciousness. Emergency services including the air ambulance, South Western Ambulance Service HART team and East Cornwall Search and Rescue were deployed in poor weather conditions. The casualty was safely reached by air ambulance personnel and the rescue team stood down.
