Injury/Rescue Brecon Beacons Serious incident

Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (including Bannau Brycheiniog, Pont ar Daf, and Neuadd Ridge)

Mountain rescue teams responded to multiple incidents across Powys over the weekend. On Friday, one individual sustained an ankle injury on a trail in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, requiring treatment for a suspected fracture and transport to hospital. Later in the week, the team assisted with another ankle injury near Pont ar Daf before safely escorting two uninjured walkers off the Neuadd Ridge.

Outcome: Injuries treated; two walkers safely escorted off the mountain.

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
