The Cheviot

A multi-agency response was launched following a crashed glider high up on The Cheviot in Northumberland. The operation involved personnel being airlifted to the site and culminated in a stretcher lowering for the pilot to be transferred to a waiting helicopter.

Outcome: Pilot was taken to hospital and is recovering.
