Lake District (Robinson–Hindscarth path and Rosthwaite area)

Keswick Mountain Rescue Team responded to two separate incidents on 10 July 2023. The first involved a 17-year-old Duke of Edinburgh participant who slipped and hit his head near Rosthwaite; he was assessed by team medics and taken to hospital. The second saw the Coastguard helicopter rescue a group of Scouts from the Robinson–Hindscarth path, where one was hypothermic, one having an asthma attack, and one with a knee injury; all were safely evacuated.

Outcome: all casualties evacuated to hospital or safely descended; potential stretcher descent in poor weather avoided

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
