A 52-year-old man suffered a cardiac arrest in Keswick town centre and was revived by bystanders including a former firefighter and a member of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team who performed CPR for approximately 20 minutes until paramedics arrived and used a defibrillator. The casualty was airlifted to hospital and survived.
