Hypothermia/Exposure Lake District

Priest Hole / Hartsop Valley

Mountain Rescue teams were called out late Saturday night to four teenagers who had become stranded on the fells due to severe weather. The group was found cold and wet after failing to reach their intended camping spot in the Priest Hole. Following treatment for mild hypothermia at the scene, all individuals were safely escorted down the hill.

Outcome: All rescued safely after treatment at scene.

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
