Haystacks, Innominate Tarn
A walker suffered a painful lower leg injury near Innominate Tarn on Haystacks on 30 March. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team attended with 22 members, treated the casualty with pain relief and splinting, and carried them by stretcher to waiting ambulance transport. The rescue took three and a half hours.
Outcome: casualty treated by stretcher and handed over to North West Ambulance Service for onward transport
