Whangie, Kilpatrick Hills

A walker was evacuated from the Whangie in the Kilpatrick Hills after a suspected adder bite on 26 May 2026. The Lomond Mountain Rescue team assisted the Scottish Ambulance Service in evacuating the casualty. The team were subsequently diverted to assist with a separate incident in Campsie Glen involving a male who had fallen.

Outcome: casualty evacuated by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
