A walker fell on a steep section of the upper edge path at Ashway near Dovestone Reservoir and sustained a suspected upper arm fracture. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team attended with a rapid response party, and the casualty was carried to a waiting helicopter and airlifted to hospital for treatment.

A rescue team was called out on Sunday evening to assist paramedics with a 15-year-old who had fallen from a rope swing in High Bullough wood. The young person, who sustained a suspected broken ankle, was safely stretchered through the woods back to the quarry car park.

Outcome: Safe transport to medical facility

The team was called out to assist near Bull Hill when a walker was reported to have lost consciousness on the hillside. After initial assessment, the casualty was met at a nearby farm and subsequently transported safely back to their vehicles.

Outcome: Good outcome; casualty safely transported off the hill.

A female runner sustained an injury to her leg after slipping during an organised trail race on a cool, dry day. Rescue personnel were called by Cumbria Police, who assisted with initial assessment and splinting before the casualty was transferred to a land ambulance.

A report was received of a sheep stranded on the River Aire embankment beneath a railway bridge near Skipton. A team of Water Technicians attended and conducted a thorough search but found no sheep in distress, concluding it had moved on or the report was unfounded.

Outcome: no rescue required, sheep not located

A hiker suffered an ankle injury while descending Tryfan mountain and became stranded. The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation attended and arranged evacuation by coastguard helicopter from St Athan, with the casualty winched to safety on 8 May.

A hillwalker who had been missing since May 7th was located after a search operation involving multiple rescue teams. The individual was found safe and well by the Dundonnell Mountain Rescue team.

Outcome: Safe

The team was called out following a report that a paraglider had been seen near Buxworth and there were concerns regarding the person's welfare. After an air search conducted by the Police, it was determined that no further assistance from the mountain rescue team was required.

Outcome: No action required

Mountain Rescue was called out on the evening of May 6th to search for five missing males near Clougha Pike. Using specialized technology, rescuers located two disoriented young men in a marshy area and subsequently escorted them safely off the fell.

Outcome: All safe and accounted for

A walker suffered an ankle injury near Greenfield Reservoir at Dovestone on Monday morning. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team assisted North West Ambulance Service paramedics in treating the casualty and carrying them by stretcher from the dam wall to an ambulance for further care.

Mountain Rescue teams were called out by North Wales Police to conduct a search for a missing person in the Connah's Quay area on Tuesday night. Following close coordination between all agencies, the individual was located and confirmed to be safe.

Outcome: Person found safe

During routine police patrols in the Tweed Valley near Cardrona, an air rifle was seized following a public report. Later that day, officers assisted mountain rescue and ambulance services at an incident involving an injured cyclist near Innerleithen.

Outcome: Injured cyclist taken to hospital; male charged with possession of an air rifle.

Mountain Rescue was called out on Monday, 4th May, to assist with an incident in Preston involving two males who had collided head-on while riding motor cross bikes. A multi-agency response attended the scene, and both individuals were subsequently evacuated by air and land.

Outcome: Injuries sustained; evacuation completed.

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat responded to seven emergency incidents over the bank holiday weekend, including rescues of stranded kayakers and paddle-boarders, medical emergencies on islands, and a serious knee injury on the West Highland Way. All casualties were safely rescued and evacuated, with the team highlighting the rapid changes in weather conditions on the loch.

Outcome: all seven incidents resolved safely; casualties evacuated including one 18-year-old treated for medical emergency and one 60-year-old with serious knee injury transported to safety

A woman sustained an ankle injury while descending at Hell Ghyll. She was treated by team members and evacuated from the site.

Two young male walkers became unable to find a descent from the fell and called for help. The team deployed a drone to search the area but the casualties managed to descend unaided before ground teams made contact.

Outcome: walked off unaided

A male became cragfast on Jack's Rake but resolved the situation independently before the team could organise a rescue. The incident lasted approximately 30 minutes and required four team members to respond.

Outcome: casualty self-rescued

A woman suffering a severe back spasm on Troutbeck Tongue was unable to move. The team treated her and evacuated her by stretcher, taking approximately 3.5 hours.

A male fellwalker slipped and sustained a lower leg injury on Loughrigg. He was treated by the team and evacuated by stretcher.

A female fellwalker fell backwards on Blea Rigg and sustained a wrist injury. With assistance from team members and support from Kendal Mountain Rescue Team, she was able to walk down the fell.
