Dinorwig slate quarries (Sinc Galed quarry hole), Llanberis, Gwynedd

Three people were rescued from an unstable ledge at Dinorwig slate quarries near Llanberis after two became stuck approximately 35 metres up a cliff face. Twelve team members conducted the rescue using rope systems, safely evacuating all three to the top. The rescue team has urged inexperienced visitors to avoid exploring quarries, citing hidden dangers and the risks of social media-motivated exploration.

Outcome: all three safely hauled to top of cliff
