A man suffered an ankle injury while canyoning at Maentwrog gorge in Snowdonia. Four mountain rescue teams used rope and stretcher systems to evacuate him from the gorge after a helicopter was unable to access the location. He was airlifted to hospital approximately four hours after the rescue operation began.
