A walker and her four dogs were rescued from the ridge between Carnedd Dafydd and Llewelyn on Christmas Eve after the dogs became frightened by gale force winds and could not continue. The woman took shelter behind rocks and used a survival bag to keep warm whilst awaiting rescue. Mountain rescuers found her very cold but otherwise uninjured, and she and her dogs were safely brought down the mountain.

Two walkers were injured on Y Gribbin ridge between Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach after dislodging a large rock. A male walker was knocked unconscious and trapped by the rock, whilst a female walker suffered a knee injury. Both were evacuated by Rescue 936 helicopter in difficult flying conditions and taken to hospital.
Outcome: both casualties evacuated by helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital

1 incident injured person in gorge Snowdonia
A man suffered an ankle injury while canyoning at Maentwrog gorge in Snowdonia. Four mountain rescue teams used rope and stretcher systems to evacuate him from the gorge after a helicopter was unable to access the location. He was airlifted to hospital approximately four hours after the rescue operation began.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher and airlifted to hospital

2 incidents lost hillwalker, flood assistance Snowdonia
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation assisted multiple people over the weekend of 27–28 December 2015, including transporting a district nurse to a flooded village, searching for a missing driver (found safe), evacuating an elderly woman from a flooded home, and rescuing a 55-year-old man lost on the lower Glyder range. Team members also deployed to York to assist with flood rescue operations across Britain.
Outcome: lost walker safely escorted from mountain; flooded residents assisted and evacuated
animal rescue Snowdonia Serious incident
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team rescued a flock of sheep stranded by flood water, ferrying them to safety in a dinghy in difficult weather conditions. One ewe died during the rescue operation, while surviving sheep were carried across stiles and transported to a nearby veterinary practice.
Outcome: sheep rescued by dinghy; one ewe died, survivors taken to veterinary care

1 incident crag-fast climbers Snowdonia
A couple in their 20s from London became stuck on 2nd Pinnacle Rib on Tryfan's east face after losing their way in darkness during a rock climb. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue deployed 18 volunteers in a six-hour operation to extract them using rope systems; fog prevented helicopter assistance. Both climbers were safely brought down by midnight.
Outcome: both climbers extracted and assisted to summit, walked down via Western Gully

1 incident medical emergency, hypothermia, exhaustion, knee injury Snowdonia
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue responded to four callouts over the bank holiday weekend. The incidents included a medical emergency on Moel Siabod requiring helicopter evacuation, two hypothermia cases on the Carneddau who were able to walk down, a 67-year-old man requiring stretcher evacuation and helicopter winch-out from difficult terrain near the A5, and a knee injury on Moel Siabod requiring helicopter evacuation. A main road was temporarily closed during one rescue due to the risk of falling rocks.
Outcome: four casualties evacuated by helicopter and stretcher, one group walked down with assistance

1 incident crag-fast climbers, students lost in darkness Snowdonia
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue responded to two separate incidents in Snowdonia involving student groups who became disoriented in darkness. Nine climbers from Leicester University became cragfast on the Idwal Slabs on Saturday and were lowered to safety, while four students took the wrong descent route off Glyder Fach on Monday and were guided down using a team vehicle's lights.
Outcome: all casualties safely guided or lowered to safety, taken to base for food and warmth
