A hillwalker slipped on Pinnacle Ridge at St Sunday Crag on 9 August 2026 and sustained a severe knee dislocation. Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team and Coastguard helicopter coordinated a winch evacuation, with the casualty airlifted to hospital.
