A walker was rescued from the Mourne Mountains on 16 August after sustaining a knee injury while returning from a walk in the Silent Valley area. The rescue team was initially called to locate a missing group of walkers who had been unreachable for three hours; that group was found safely. A second callout then assisted an injured walker back to road access for hospital transfer.
