Two walkers with a dog became lost in snowy conditions at Dovestones in Oldham on Saturday 2 December. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team traced their phone signal and located them above a waterfall in Birchen Clough using their head torches. The walkers were assessed and walked off the hill safely in a two-hour operation involving 14 team members.
