Buttermere

Two Lake District mountain rescue teams assisted a walker with a suspected broken ankle near Buttermere on 30 December after the casualty fell while descending a rocky path. The ankle was splinted and the walker was evacuated to a waiting ambulance at Sykes Farm Café. The operation took three and a half hours.
