The team was requested to assist with an ongoing search operation in Dorset. Although they were unable to provide personnel for the callout, they were pleased to learn that the situation had been successfully resolved.

The team responded to the Police request to search for a missing woman in the Tavistock area. The individual was subsequently located safely near her residence while information was being gathered to plan the search.

An injured hiker was rescued near Nant Peris in Eryri on 8 March and flown by Coastguard helicopter to Aintree hospital. North Wales Police, HM Coastguard, and Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team coordinated the operation, with the helicopter landing at Joe Stone playing field.

Mountain rescue teams were called out on Sunday after a walker fell at Dovestone Reservoir near Saddleworth Moor. Specialist teams located the individual, who sustained multiple injuries including a suspected broken arm, before they were transported to hospital.

Outcome: The missing person was located shortly after the search was requested.

Search dog teams were requested to assist with a search in the Lee Moor area for a missing male. However, team members were stood down en route after police successfully located the individual.

A search was conducted for a missing walker who had become lost in the soft ground near Steng-a-tor after calling for help as night approached. The individual was eventually located between Kitty Tor and Steng-a-tor and assessed by medical personnel to have no injuries.

A major search operation was underway in the Forest of Dean for Graham, a man missing for nearly a week. Last seen on 3 March 2026 near Coleford, extensive searches were conducted by Gloucestershire Police and rescue associations across the Ellwood, Milkwall and Sling areas. Police appealed for public assistance through reports of sightings and submission of CCTV and dashcam footage.

The team was called out at dawn to assist with a missing vulnerable male from Weston-super-Mare. Police later confirmed that a member of the public had located the man safely and well.

A person reported missing near Dovestone on 28 February was located on moorland approximately two miles east of Greenfield reservoir suffering from hypothermia and exhaustion. The Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by search dog Ace, located the casualty and provided emergency care before evacuation by HM Coastguard helicopter to a road ambulance.

During winter training in the Cairngorms, team members responded to another walker who had fallen on the path and sustained injuries to both arms. The injured person was assessed for a left wrist and right shoulder injury before being evacuated off the mountain with assistance from local Ski Patrol.

Outcome: The casualty was safely evacuated by stretcher to an ambulance for onward care.

Mountain rescue teams were called out on Wednesday evening to assist a casualty who had sustained a lower limb injury near Neidpath Castle in Peebles. The operation required the use of a stretcher due to muddy and rough ground conditions, and the casualty was eventually taken by ambulance.

Search and rescue crews deployed drones and dogs to locate a hiker who went missing while traversing rugged terrain near Ben Nevis. Extensive searches are continuing despite challenging weather conditions.
