12 incidents Climbing Accident/Rescue Lake District
A climber was found by a passer-by after falling on the crags at Coombs Wood and sustaining severe injuries. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including air ambulance support, to assess the casualty and safely extract them from the crag.
Outcome: Transported to hospital
Fall/Injury Pennines
A rescue team was called out on Sunday evening to assist paramedics with a 15-year-old who had fallen from a rope swing in High Bullough wood. The young person, who sustained a suspected broken ankle, was safely stretchered through the woods back to the quarry car park.
Outcome: Safe transport to medical facility
Medical assistance/Loss of consciousness Pennines
The team was called out to assist near Bull Hill when a walker was reported to have lost consciousness on the hillside. After initial assessment, the casualty was met at a nearby farm and subsequently transported safely back to their vehicles.
Outcome: Good outcome; casualty safely transported off the hill.
Injury (Slipping) Lake District
A female runner sustained an injury to her leg after slipping during an organised trail race on a cool, dry day. Rescue personnel were called by Cumbria Police, who assisted with initial assessment and splinting before the casualty was transferred to a land ambulance.
Outcome: Transported from scene to land ambulance handover

Missing Person Highlands
A hillwalker who had been missing since May 7th was located after a search operation involving multiple rescue teams. The individual was found safe and well by the Dundonnell Mountain Rescue team.
Outcome: Safe
Concern for paraglider Peak District
The team was called out following a report that a paraglider had been seen near Buxworth and there were concerns regarding the person's welfare. After an air search conducted by the Police, it was determined that no further assistance from the mountain rescue team was required.
Outcome: No action required
Lost persons/Search and Rescue Pennines
Mountain Rescue was called out on the evening of May 6th to search for five missing males near Clougha Pike. Using specialized technology, rescuers located two disoriented young men in a marshy area and subsequently escorted them safely off the fell.
Outcome: All safe and accounted for
Missing Person Search Snowdonia
Mountain Rescue teams were called out by North Wales Police to conduct a search for a missing person in the Connah's Quay area on Tuesday night. Following close coordination between all agencies, the individual was located and confirmed to be safe.
Outcome: Person found safe
Firearm seizure and cycling accident Southern Uplands
During routine police patrols in the Tweed Valley near Cardrona, an air rifle was seized following a public report. Later that day, officers assisted mountain rescue and ambulance services at an incident involving an injured cyclist near Innerleithen.
Outcome: Injured cyclist taken to hospital; male charged with possession of an air rifle.
Motor vehicle collision (motor cross) Pennines
Mountain Rescue was called out on Monday, 4th May, to assist with an incident in Preston involving two males who had collided head-on while riding motor cross bikes. A multi-agency response attended the scene, and both individuals were subsequently evacuated by air and land.
Outcome: Injuries sustained; evacuation completed.

A male sustained an ankle injury while fellwalking at Pavey Ark. Team members provided treatment before the individual was evacuated with assistance from Kendal MRT.
