Mourne Mountains, near Windy Gap and Slieve Moughanmore
A walker collapsed and died while in the Mourne Mountains near Windy Gap on Saturday afternoon. The Mourne Mountain Rescue Team attended, and despite the efforts of his walking companion, nearby walkers, and the NI Air Ambulance, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The team recovered the deceased and transferred them to undertakers.
