Tryfan, North Gully
An experienced hillwalker fell 5–10 metres in the North Gully on Tryfan on Thursday 27 August and was unable to descend due to injury. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue lowered him 500 metres down a gully in a stretcher over five belay stations before he was airlifted by Coastguard helicopter to Bangor hospital.
Outcome: casualty lowered 500m by stretcher and airlifted to hospital in Bangor
