Mourne Mountains
A 73-strong group of Army cadets encountered difficulties during a training exercise in the Mourne Mountains in treacherous weather. Eight cadets were taken to hospital with ankle injuries and exposure-related conditions; 17 required stretcher evacuation. All were subsequently discharged and returned to their base camp.
