Tryfan

A solo walker wearing shorts became stranded below the summit of Tryfan during Storm Amy on 3 October 2025, when wind gusts reached 86 mph. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation team members navigated difficult terrain and high water flows to reach the casualty, provided warm clothing, and lowered him by rope to safe ground.

Outcome: casualty given warm clothing, lowered by rope, walked off mountain uninjured
