Emergency services attended Bodmin Moor on Saturday morning following reports of an individual who had suffered a serious medical episode. Rescue teams were called to assist with the recovery of the person, who sadly did not survive at the scene. The death was confirmed by police and is not being treated as suspicious.

A fell runner encountered an elderly walker who had become too exhausted to continue on the top of Kinder Scout. After initial attempts to assist were unsuccessful, help was called for. The gentleman was subsequently carried by the team back to Edale Cross and handed over to the Ambulance service.

A male sustained an upper-leg injury after falling near a stream crossing on Lingmell Beck. Although the Mountain Rescue Team was called out, the casualty had already been assisted off the hill by others before the team arrived at the car park.

A 53-year-old woman fell into a river and sustained suspected wrist and ankle injuries. She was out of the water when emergency services arrived. The team assisted in a stretcher evacuation across difficult terrain to a waiting ambulance.

The team experienced five callouts on Thursday, 28 May. Incidents included assisting with an ankle injury below Cribyn mountain and supporting paramedics with a spinal/pelvic injury from a bike rider. The day also involved responding to a deceased person in Clydach Vale and treating a walker with a knee wound at the waterfalls area.
Outcome: Casualties received treatment and were transported for onward care.

A search was launched following a request from North Wales Police to locate a family of one adult and three children, along with a dog, who had become lost in the Minera area. The group's location was initially thought to be near fast-flowing water, but they were eventually found safely.

A young man fell approximately 200 feet from the rocky slopes of Glyder Fawr in North Wales during a climbing trip. Following the incident, mountain rescue teams were involved in recovering his body from the area.

Rescue volunteers were called out after an individual got into difficulty in the water at Ceunant Mawr waterfall near Llanberis. The incident was described by the team as a 'very near drowning' and was part of several emergencies dealt with over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A mountain biker fell on Sale Fell and sustained a significant hip injury. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team located the casualty approximately 150 metres up the fell, immobilised them, and carried them to an ambulance for transport to Cumberland Infirmary.

A 41-year-old female was evacuated after falling from her horse near East Marton in boggy terrain approximately 1.2 miles from the nearest road. Team members assisted a Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedic to stretcher the casualty across the field and transfer her to an ambulance for onward care.

A walker fell ill at the Whangie following a suspected adder bite and was evacuated by Lomond Mountain Rescue Team in coordination with Scottish Ambulance Service. While rescue teams were responding, a second incident involving a fallen member of the public was reported at Campsie Glen, requiring a multi-agency response.

Specialist fire crews were called out to a farm near Kelso following an 11-hour operation to free a heifer that had fallen into a hidden underground Victorian icehouse. Using equipment from various rescue services and the assistance of local staff, teams managed to create enough space for the animal to climb out safely.
Outcome: The heifer was successfully rescued and is reported to be unharmed.
