A paraglider became entangled in trees approximately 25 metres above the ground on steep terrain near Llangollen. The team was deployed at the request of the North Wales fire service to assist with the rescue alongside partner agencies.

The team assisted North Wales Police in searching for a missing teenager in the Talacre area on Tuesday afternoon. During the search, resources were split to respond to a second callout involving a paraglider in difficulty near Llangollen. The missing teenager was subsequently found.

Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team deployed to assist Lancashire Constabulary in a high-risk search for a missing person in the Bamber Bridge and Walton le Dale areas on 22 July 2026. Thirty-two volunteers searched open land, motorway boundaries, vegetation and hedgerows over more than 8 hours, but the missing person was not located during the operation.

A climber fell 5 metres at Holwell Quarry near Haytor and sustained a fracture and dislocation to the ankle. The rescue team located and assessed the casualty, then transported him and his climbing partner to Haytor car park where an ambulance crew took over.

A group of walkers became lost at Taylorforce Gill near Keswick and were unable to continue. Cumbria Police contacted Keswick MRT, who took over the incident and resolved it within nine minutes.

Cumbria Police received a report of a caller near Lingmell Beck on 20 July 2026, but the call disconnected before details could be obtained. Location fixes from the phone indicated the caller was moving toward Brackenclose car park. The team was stood down after determining the caller had safely descended the hill.

A walker fell and sustained an ankle dislocation near Burrator Reservoir. Team members assessed the casualty, administered pain relief, and reduced the dislocation before evacuating her by stretcher to Norsworthy Bridge where she was handed to ambulance personnel for transport to hospital.

A walker fell near Warnscale Beck in the Lake District and sustained a suspected lower back injury. The casualty was treated by Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team, carried to the lakeshore at Buttermere, and airlifted by Coastguard Rescue 897 to Cumberland Infirmary for further treatment.

A male walker became exhausted and severely dehydrated approximately 200 metres below the summit of Scafell Pike and was unable to continue. Members of the public provided food and water, which helped him recover sufficiently to descend with assistance from the Mountain Rescue Team.

A 15-year-old female required recovery from a footpath near the river by Easby Abbey. The ambulance service had already recovered the casualty by the time mountain rescue team members arrived on scene, and the team were stood down.

A male casualty with a lower leg injury was located near Keld and required specialist technical rescue to be extracted up steep ground. The casualty was recovered to the path and transferred by stretcher to Keld for handover to an ambulance.

A walker suffered a suspected lower back injury after a fall near Warnscale Beck in the Lake District on 18 July. The casualty was treated by Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team, carried to the lakeshore at Buttermere, and airlifted by Coastguard Rescue 897 to Cumberland Infirmary.

Outcome: airlifted to hospital by helicopter

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team responded to five incidents between 17 and 26 July 2026, including assistance with three people stranded on a rock face at Baildon, a missing person search in West Vale, a remote casualty evacuation near Holywell Green, and an injured walker at Stoodley Pike. The team also supported Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team with an incident in the Featherstone area.

Longtown Mountain Rescue responded to a report of a person with a suspected arm injury in Llangattock near Crickhowell on 17 July. Volunteer medics assessed and treated the casualty, working collaboratively with the Wales Air Ambulance crew, before the person was safely stretchered down to an awaiting ambulance.

A female spectator fell down a steep bank at a local event and required technical rescue assistance. Fifteen team members worked with the Air Ambulance and Yorkshire Ambulance Service to recover the casualty up the steep ground to the waiting ambulance.

A hillwalker became stuck in a bog while descending Beinn Laith Mhor Fannich in foggy conditions and was rescued by Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team. The casualty was found to be uninjured but cold, and was warmed and transported to their vehicle. This callout occurred during a busy 24-hour period that also included assisting a walker with heat-related illness on Ben Wyvis and searching for an overdue walker in Glen Cannich.

Tokyo, a black labrador owned by a dog trainer from Esher, was rescued from Ben Nevis after falling ill, with suspected cannabis ingestion from discarded material found halfway up the mountain. The dog was evacuated and received medical attention.

A female mountain biker was rescued after sustaining injuries from a fall on a remote track above Ilton. Team members provided medical treatment for cuts and suspected elbow and pelvic injuries before the casualty was transported by road ambulance.
