Longtown Mountain Rescue Team responded to two simultaneous ankle injury call-outs on 2 January 2020. A man slipped on Sugar Loaf above Abergavenny and a woman slipped on Offa's Dyke Path; both were evacuated to hospital with assistance from Air Ambulance and local support.

Two hillwalkers sustained minor injuries after being caught in an avalanche in the mountains above Bridge of Orchy in Argyll. Members of Arrochar, Oban, Glencoe, Search and Rescue Dog Association Scotland and police attended to provide assistance.

A hillwalker became disoriented and lost in the Pentland Hills as darkness fell on Sunday evening and called for help. Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team responded with 19 members, aided by a police helicopter with searchlight, and located the walker cold but uninjured and walked them to safety.

A 60-year-old climber fell on the route 'Megaton' on the west face of Pillar Rock on Friday afternoon. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team coordinated with Coastguard and air ambulance helicopters to winch team members to the casualty, who was treated, stabilised and airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The casualty's climbing partner was also safely assisted from the crag.

A base jumper in his 20s was slammed into the north face of An Teallach by a wind gust moments after jumping from the summit ridge. He sustained only minor injuries and was able to climb back to his companions before being evacuated by helicopter. The rescue team noted he narrowly avoided a fatal fall.

Arran Mountain Rescue Team found a body on Goatfell during a search for missing walker Valerij Tomarenko. The body was discovered in the water shoot area on the west side of the summit. The walker, a translator from Hamburg holidaying on the Isle of Arran, had last been in contact with family on 14 August.

A 71-year-old woman missing for four days was found alive in undergrowth near Bream Rugby Club in Gloucestershire after an extensive search involving rescue teams from Wales and the Midlands. Despite four days of severe weather including torrential rain and thunderstorms, she was discovered conscious and was attended to by casualty carers before being transferred to NHS care.

Mountain Rescue teams were called out after a female hiker fell down a riverbank near Pontneddfechan. Due to weather conditions and lack of safe winching space, the casualty was eventually extracted by stretcher to the roadside for transfer to an ambulance.

A walker was found alive after spending approximately 48 hours on a mountainside in the Arran Hills. Search efforts involved multiple teams and a Coastguard helicopter until the individual was located near A’ Chir ridge.
