5 incidents injured walker Lake District
A 56-year-old man fell 10 feet on Hay Stacks above Buttermere on Sunday, injuring his shoulder. Passing walkers raised the alarm and assisted the casualty. He was treated by Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team and a Coastguard helicopter and winched to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for further treatment.
Outcome: casualty winched into helicopter and flown to Cumberland Infirmary for further treatment

A nineteen-member Mourne Mountain Rescue Team responded to a police alert for a high-risk missing person in the Mournes on Thursday night. The operation lasted approximately two hours, after which the person was located and transferred to hospital for assessment.

Emergency services including lifeboats and a helicopter were deployed to the River Severn near Arlingham and Frampton-on-Severn in search of a missing person. Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) land search teams and a lifeboat from SARA Sharpness were called to assist police coastguard in the search operation.

Two swimmers became trapped for three hours in a gorge at Finnich Glen near Killearn while canyoning through the Carnock Burn. They were unable to climb out of the 80-foot gorge and were rescued by Lomond Mountain Rescue Team with assistance from police and Scottish Fire and Rescue. The woman was suffering from mild hypothermia but both casualties were checked by paramedics and released.

A group of approximately 70 Army cadets from England, including 58 children aged 12 to 17, encountered treacherous weather on the Mourne Mountains in County Down. An emergency operation was launched involving coastguard, ambulance, helicopter and mountain rescue teams; 17 children were stretchered off the mountain with 16 cases of hypothermia and minor injuries including ankle injuries and cold-related conditions reported.
Outcome: 17 casualties stretchered off the mountain and treated; no serious or life-threatening injuries reported

A man fell approximately 230 feet from the PYG path on Snowdon and died as a result of his injuries. Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team attended the incident and recovered the body from the cliff face, with the operation taking four hours and 38 minutes.

A male walker, thought to be in his 20s or 30s, fell approximately 30 metres to his death on Tryfan while attempting to descend a gully on Heather Terrace. He was discovered by a woman and her three teenage sons at around 16:00 BST. Mountain rescue believe he slipped while trying to find a route around rock steps that make the gully impassable.

A 73-strong group of Army cadets encountered difficulties during a training exercise in the Mourne Mountains in treacherous weather. Eight cadets were taken to hospital with ankle injuries and exposure-related conditions; 17 required stretcher evacuation. All were subsequently discharged and returned to their base camp.

Two men became stranded on Crib Goch ridge on Snowdon and were rescued by Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team volunteers using ropes. They were winched aboard a coastguard helicopter from St Athan and safely descended.

Two hikers were rescued from Slieve Bearnagh in the Mourne mountains after falls on steep rocky ground. One man suffered head and back injuries after falling near granite slabs, and a second was injured while attempting to assist. Both were airlifted to hospital by Coastguard helicopters.

A woman slipped and injured her ankle while attempting the Fisherfield Five Munros near Dundonnell on Friday afternoon. After crawling for several hours, the pair spent the night on the mountain; her partner walked five hours to raise the alarm on Saturday morning. The woman was airlifted by Coastguard helicopter to hospital for treatment, with support from Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team.

A climber died after falling on Tower Ridge, Ben Nevis on Saturday morning. The Coastguard rescue helicopter recovered the casualty from the difficult location and transferred them to an ambulance, but they had sustained fatal injuries.

Three climbers became cragfast on the Orion Face of Ben Nevis during poor weather conditions. Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team successfully rescued them by lowering a rescuer from the summit, finding the group 200m below the top of the route and leading them back to safety.
Outcome: all three climbers brought to safety and led back to summit

A 73-year-old woman and her son became lost in cloud on the Glyderau in Snowdonia after weather deteriorated during their walk. Mountain rescuers from multiple teams spent nine hours locating them above Llyn y Cwm and safely escorting the exhausted mother down to the road at Nant Peris, with helicopter support standing by.
Outcome: both safely rescued and escorted off mountain

2 incidents injured dog Snowdonia
A Malamute dog named Storm suffered skinned paws on rough terrain while walking the Pyg Track on Snowdon and was carried off the mountain by Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team volunteers. A vet accompanying the rescue party provided pain relief and dressed the wounds before the dog was transported to Pen y Pass. The operation lasted approximately three hours.

A woman from Lochgilphead who was reported missing was found deceased in Oban. The incident resulted in a fatality.

2 incidents missing person Scotland
A 77-year-old man from Machrie on Arran went missing on an evening walk on Tuesday 30 May, last seen near the village golf course at 18:10. Despite an extensive search involving police, Arran Mountain Rescue, RAF, RNLI and coastguard, he remained missing several days later. The man is vulnerable, requires daily medication, and has poor mobility.

A walker in his late 50s died after slipping and falling down the south gully on Tryfan in Snowdonia while descending with his daughter. A nearby rock climber provided immediate first aid and alerted emergency services, but the man was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital. The post also reports a separate incident the previous day involving a walker with a foot injury who was successfully rescued and evacuated by helicopter.

A man fell approximately 30–50 metres down the water slabs near Slieve Binnian in the Mourne mountains on 28 April 2017. He sustained multiple injuries including head, neck and chest injuries. He was treated by Mourne Mountain Rescue and airlifted by helicopter to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital in serious condition.

A man fell approximately 50 metres in the Mourne Mountains near Slieve Binnian on Monday afternoon, sustaining multiple injuries including head, neck and chest trauma. Other walkers raised the alarm and the Mourne Mountain Rescue Service assisted before he was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.

The body of a missing woman was discovered by the Severn Area Rescue Association in woodland near Woolaston Common, following a police search operation. The woman had been missing since late Thursday and formal identification was pending at the time of reporting.

3 incidents lost hillwalkers Highlands
Two lost hillwalkers were rescued from Meall an t-Suidhe in Lochaber after Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team traced their mobile phones on Wednesday night. The team also responded to a missing 71-year-old on Ben Nevis on Tuesday and attended a group of French walkers who were caught in an avalanche but uninjured earlier that day.

A man was found in a hypothermic state near the summit of Ben Nevis after spending the night on the mountain. Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, RAF Lossiemouth, and the Inverness Coastguard helicopter conducted the search and rescue operation in very difficult conditions with fresh snow and high avalanche risk. The casualty was airlifted by helicopter to Belford Hospital in Fort William.

A 17-year-old was found unwell at Snowdon's summit and stretchered to safety by Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team. The teenager was suffering from mild hypothermia in wet, windy conditions and was evacuated via the Snowdon Mountain Railway track to hospital.
Outcome: casualty stretchered down and transferred to hospital
